According to reports, the "Platform + Industry" mutual empowerment initiative is an innovative measure introduced by the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration to integrate digital and real economies. By establishing a two-way promotion mechanism of "platforms empowering industrial transformation and industries supporting platform innovation," it seeks to enhance the modernization level of industrial chains.
Longwan's bathroom hardware industry boasts two prestigious titles: "Capital of China's Hardware and Sanitary Ware" and "Export Base for China's Hardware and Sanitary Ware (Wenzhou)." It is also one of the 25 pilot industries selected for Zhejiang's "Platform + Industry" mutual empowerment initiative this year. As of the end of last year, the district had over 5,000 market entities in the bathroom hardware sector, including 71 large-scale enterprises, with the industry's annual output value exceeding 8 billion yuan. Among these, export delivery value reached 1.85 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%, while e-commerce sales hit 2.6 billion yuan, up 10% year-on-year.
At the meeting, it was revealed that Longwan District will deepen its cooperation with Alibaba's platform, leveraging innovative models such as "B2B platform + industrial belt" and "Super Factory" to help bathroom hardware companies upgrade from "small orders with quick turnaround" to "blockbuster bulk orders." In terms of platform empowerment, the "Super Factory" model will provide enterprises with full-chain services ranging from brand exposure and supply chain optimization to financial support. For service support, key resources such as quality inspection, patents, and compliance will be integrated to offer assistance like discounted testing fees, ensuring solid "hard support" for businesses on their "global journey." Additionally, the district will focus on building the China Eye Valley Cross-Border E-Commerce Complex and introduce a "One-Day Selection Center Tour" route to create efficient channels for products to reach global consumers directly.
During the matchmaking event, Alibaba staff provided insights into cross-border e-commerce trends, the 1688 Selection Center project, and platform traffic conversion—topics of keen interest to enterprises. Some companies also received one-on-one diagnostics for their online operations, with several reaching preliminary cooperation agreements with the platform.
On-site, a plaque was awarded to the "Platform + Industry" Mutual Empowerment Integrated Service Station, establishing a one-stop service hub at the Longwan E-Commerce Association to provide enterprises with quality inspection, intellectual property, consumer rights protection, and compliance guidance. Additionally, the "Longwan District E-Commerce Risk Prevention Recommendations" and a list of high-frequency non-compliant terms were released.
